Here are 5 reindeer themed preschool Christmas craft ideas we think you’ll love:

1. Make your own reindeer out of toilet roll

This preschool Christmas craft is super easy, so your little one can get stuck in. And even better, you can get festive with materials you already have at home – like empty toilet rolls!

Bring Rudolph and his friends to life. All you need for this festive craft is:

• Toilet rolls (as many as you like)
• Brown paint
• Brown pipe cleaners
• Googly eyes
• Red pom poms
• A black pen
• Glue.

This preschool Christmas craft is so simple! Paint the toilet rolls brown, then stick on the googly eyes and a red pom pom nose. Use the black pen to add detail, like eyebrows and a smile. And don’t forget the antlers! Twist the brown pipe cleaners into the shape of Rudolph’s antlers and glue them to the toilet roll. And there you have it!

2. Turn your footprints into reindeer

Turn your little one’s footprints into reindeer art. It’s super simple, but super fun!

Paint your child’s foot with brown paint. Or if you’re feeling brave, have your little one dip their foot into the paint. But be prepared to clean up the mess!

Then, your child should press their foot onto a sheet of paper. What you do next is up to you! Add googly eyes and a red pom pom for the nose. Or your child can get creative and draw the facial features by hand.

Now watch Rudolph come to life! Their palm should be the reindeer’s face, while their fingers should be the reindeer’s antlers. Just add details – like googly eyes and a pom pom nose – and you’ve finished your reindeer craft!

4. Make fingerpaint Christmas tree decorations

Our next preschool Christmas craft is great if you want to create something long-lasting. Why not decorate your Christmas tree ornaments with fingerpainting?

Not only is this a festive, fun-filled activity for your child, but you can give your old baubles a makeover!

All you need is a plain bauble, some brown paint and black and red markers. You can use as many baubles as you like, and it doesn’t matter what colour they are. You can use your old baubles or buy new ones specifically for this preschool Christmas craft.

Your little one should dip their finger into the brown paint and press it onto the bauble. Wait for the paint to dry, then use the black and red markers to bring the reindeer to life. Add eyes, antlers and a smile – and don’t forget the red nose!

You can paint multiple reindeer on one bauble or leave it at one – the choice is yours.

5. Create your own reindeer costume

Last, but definitely not least, on our list of preschool Christmas crafts – make your own reindeer costume!

Your little one might need some help with the trickier parts of this craft. But they’ll have so much fun with the end result!

All you need for this festive craft is some brown card, scissors and glue. Cut the brown card into strips and glue both ends of the strip together to make a headband. Remember to measure your little one’s head to make sure you get the right fit!

Then, draw antlers onto another piece of brown card and cut them out. Glue the antlers onto the headband you made earlier, and there you have it. A super simple reindeer costume!

Your little one will love this preschool Christmas craft. They can dress up as their favourite festive character for a Christmas party, or even create their own festive play.
