We're hiring two Santa Academy Illustrators!
The role
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Creative Team in the role of Illustrator.
Your primary responsibility will be creating magical illustrations for the festive world of Santa Academy. You must be adaptable and not afraid of change as our evolving business is constantly changing (for the better).
You must have an abundance of common sense, be bright and be willing to input creative ideas and take strong notes to ensure our Director and Management Team do not need to repeat actions and activities. You must be willing to research, understand and implement illustrative campaigns across a range of different cultures.

- You will need to be exceptionally creative with an awesome portfolio of illustrations for the kids market and others.
Check out www.thesantaacademy.com to see our style. - The successful candidate will be able to effectively prioritise and remain focused under pressure, be adaptable to change and responsive in an atmosphere of constantly shifting priorities.
Do you?
- Display excellent creative/conceptual thinking and idea generation skills?
- Have the ability to work within specific styles set by another artist?
- Have very strong traditional illustration skills in a variety of media?
- Have a strong ability to think in 3D and draw in perspective?
- Have experience in 2D Character Design?
- Understand and implement a great use of colour, light and shadow?
- Understand and can show experience in Digital Illustration?
- Have the ability to problem-solve project briefs and consider various routes to ensure delivery deadlines are met?
- Advance briefs by thinking creatively and challenging the creators/authors you work with?
- Have the ability to lead in world creation?
You can truly make this role your own, managing your own workload. With unlimited access to our Directors, so you can pitch new creative concepts for moving our projects forward whenever you want.
The successful candidate will work in a Creative Team of 9, and a wider team of 45 here in the UK, and a growing team in the States.
Additional information:
Based: Durham
Salary: £25,000 (annual increases)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Friday 9am-5pm
Holidays: 20 days per annum, plus bank holidays
