Are you looking for Christmas art ideas for teachers? Check these out!

Without further ado, let’s look at our Christmas art ideas for teachers…

If you’re searching for ways to engage the children in your class, why not try some drawing and colouring tasks?

Drawing and colouring tasks are the perfect Christmas art ideas for teachers! They allow children to develop key skills – and have fun while doing it!

When they draw and colour, children are developing skills such as:

  • Fine motor skills
  • Patience
  • Concentration
  • Hand eye coordination
  • Handwriting skills
  • Colour recognition
  • Imagination
  • Confidence.

Not bad, right?

We love drawing and colouring so much at Santa Academy, we’ve included different tasks in our activity packs! Here’s what you’ll find…

  1. Draw Claus Manor with Jessica Claus

With this Christmas art idea for teachers, children get to draw the most impressive home on Lacus Island – Claus Manor!

We’ve provided a reference image to get them started. But they don’t have to stick to it! Encourage the children to use their imaginations to create a magical home for Santa and Mrs Claus.

  1. Draw Santa’s sleigh with Jessica Claus

Next on our list of Christmas art ideas for teachers is to draw Santa’s sleigh with Jessica Claus!

Just like our last drawing activity, we’ve provided the children with a reference image. Or, if they’d prefer, they can let their imaginations run wild!

What do they think Santa’s sleigh should look like?

  1. Decorate the Christmas tree with Tobias

Decorating the Christmas tree is one of the most magical parts of the festive season. With this Christmas art idea for teachers, the whole class can take part in the tradition! Next up – decorate the Christmas tree with Tobias!

Tobias Trumpet needs help decorating the Lacus Island Christmas tree. It’s the biggest tree on the Island – it needs to be impressive! Can you and your class help Tobias decorate the tree?

Remember, the Christmas tree needs to be bold, colourful and, most importantly, festive!

  1. Art class with Katty King

Still looking for Christmas art ideas for teachers? We think you’ll love this next one – art class with Katty King!

With this activity sheet, you and your class can colour in two versions of Santa Claus. One is hot and one is cold!

This one is great because the children get to use their imaginations. Encourage the children to use colours that represent Santa’s temperature. What colour will he be after all his hard work delivering presents on Christmas Eve? What about on a cold, snowy Christmas night?

  1. Design your own cracker with Gerry

Next up! Gerry Gingernut wants you to create your very own Christmas cracker. Can you and your class help him out?

The crackers you create should be unique, vibrant and festive. And remember, Gerry loves colour. Try and make your Christmas cracker designs as colourful as possible!

  1. Create your own gift wrap with Douglas

Next on our list of Christmas art ideas for teachers, create your own gift wrap with Douglas Squattsbottom!

Encourage your class to get creative and design their own wrapping paper. With this activity sheet, the possibilities are endless. Will the children keep it traditional and festive? Maybe they’ll take inspiration from their favourite TV shows? Or maybe they’ll create something else entirely!

Here’s a top tip from Douglas to help you get started! The perfect wrapping paper is very bright and matches the gift inside.

  1. Create your own candy with Mr Bon Bon

Our next festive art ideas is to create your own candy with Mr Bon Bon!

We’ve given the children a list of ingredients that Mr Bon Bon uses to create the candy at Delicious Delights. The best candy shop on Lacus Island! Right now, he’s searching for new, delicious candy ideas. Can you and your class help him out?

With this activity sheet, the children get to draw their sweet treat ideas and create their packaging. And don’t forget to give the candy a name!

  1. Design your own Christmas jumper with Tilly and Doug

Last on our list of Christmas art ideas for teachers is design your own Christmas jumper with Tilly and Doug.
