Christmas stockings are must-have decorations for any home at Christmas time. Why settle for the same old ordinary stocking when you could create your own? Pick your own fabrics and accessories and decorate your stocking how you like. You could even make some for family and friends. Remember to fill those stockings with some goodies.

  1. Design your own cracker

Do you like getting arty? Why not grab some pens and pencils and create your own cracker? The more colourful and vibrant the better. Don’t just stop at creating one cracker, design as many as you like. This is a great Christmas crafting idea for adults who like getting creative and entertaining guests.

  1. Christmas card tree

Do you receive a lot of Christmas cards but want a better way to display them? How about arranging them in the shape of a  ? Find a spare wall in the house where you can decorate the cards like a Christmas tree. This will make your wall stand and is a unique way of displaying your cards for everyone to see. If you have too many cards for one tree, make several little ones around your home.

There are so many designs you can make, so don’t be scared to experiment. If you need inspiration check on Pinterest for some ideas. It may take time to create your cards, but your family and friends will love receiving something so personalised.

This is a tradition you can keep up year upon year.

There’s nothing quite like receiving a Christmas present in a gorgeous gift bag. If you’re struggling to find the perfect gift bag, have a go at creating your own.

Transform a regular brown bag into a reindeer gift bag. Use a red pom pom for the nose stick on some googly eyes and add some antlers on the top. Add some handles to the bag and you’re all done. Your family and friends will love their personalised gift bags

You could even create some matching reindeer gift tags to go with your bag.

If you’re looking to add some festive glam to your Christmas tree, create your own baubles.

Everyone wants the perfect Christmas tree, right? But if you’ve grown tired of dragging the same old baubles out each year, try something new.

Buy some plain baubles and grab some craft supplies and have a go at making your own baubles. Add some glitter to make your baubles sparkle on your tree.

Don’t forget your guests need some festive glassware for their drinks. Have a go at creating some of your own. Grab some plain tumbler glasses and test out your artistic skills. You could paint some festive slogans or characters on your glasses.

Your guests will be amazed at your personalised glasses, and you can re-use them year upon year.
